Dr Heather Mays

Consultant Clinical Psychologist/Clinic Director

Dr Mays completed her graduate training in New York City, at Columbia University and then Yeshiva University. She is proud to have worked in some of Manhattan’s most prestigious hospitals and clinics before coming to the UK some years ago.

Dr Mays helped to create and implement NHS primary care services in the Borough of Richmond, having been consultant lead to a large psychology department for many years. She has produced hundreds of legal reports and has worked with victims of accidents and natural disasters. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

Dr Mays had an established London private practice, based in St Margarets and in Sloane Square, for many years. She aspired to open a clinic with trusted and respected professionals that met the mental health needs of people of any age. She was proud to open the Orchard Clinic in January 2016.

A good number of her patients struggle with depression, anxiety, work-related stress, post-traumatic stress and addiction issues. She specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR).
